Condominium Development
Our Firm has formed more than 100 commercial condominiums. Therefore, we have extensive experience drafting and filing the condominium documents, including the declaration of condominium (known as a horizontal property regime in South Carolina), forming the required non-profit owner’s association, and drafting bylaws for the association; coordinating with the surveyor of your choice for the preparation of condominium maps and plans; recording the necessary documents; and closing the sales of condominium units as they are sold. In other words, we can handle all of the legal work needed to complete the proper formation of a condominium project, in a very thorough but prompt fashion.

We represented the developer of Ballantyne Village, a large mixed-use center in Charlotte (www.ballantynevillage.com), for everything from the land purchase to closing the securitized permanent financing loan of $55,000,000. We have also represented the Kuester Companies (www.kuester.com) with respect to numerous condominium, office, and apartment developments.
